Chibi Astroboy

I absolutely LOVED Astroboy when I was younger. I think I was around 7 or 8 when it ws on TV. He was such an adorable, cool little robot. Everything about that show was just damn awesome. When I was 17, I saw it again for the first time since I was little and I nearly cried when the theme song and opening sequence started. XD; I like still enjoy Astroboy now even though the animation's not the best and the acting is really bad sometimes. I think I'll always have a soft spot for it. This is the proper Astroboy I'm talking about - not the new one which I saw five minutes of for the first time the other day. (I didn't like it.)

My brief thoughts of the new one:

I don't understand why they *completly* changed Atlas. Atlas was so cool in the original series and now from the looks of it, he's just some other kid/teen robot. He was/is supposed to be a menacing threat and constant worry but the new Atlas doesn't seem very threatening. I also absolutely DETEST the catchphrase "Let's rocket!" v_v;; Astroboy was NOT about lame catchphrases. There was nothing about that show that was lame. >:F I did have another thing to say about it but I don't remember now what it was.

I chose to draw him in this pose because it seems that the most remembered thing about Astro was that he had a laser come out of his butt. The background is supposed to be some techy, sciency place.

One other thing, Astroboy's sister is NOT called "AstroGIRL". >_< Her name is "Uran". Sorry, but that's a common mistake that really annoys me.
