I'd wanted to do Barret for a while so I finally just sat down and drew him. I never really liked Barret that much. I *never* had him in my party after you split when leaving Midgar. He never really seemed anything more than a loud, huge, tough guy. I always liked this line, though: "I guess it's my... whatcha call it... feelings, or something."
Every time I post a chibi, at least one person will comment about the eyes being freaky, weird, dead, hollow, sunken, whatever. So, I tried something different with the eyes this time. I think it's interesting. It seems to add a bit more life to the character. What do you think? I don't know whether or not I'll keep doing the eyes this way. I still like how I normally do them but, with future chibis, I might do the eyes both ways and decide which looks better. Also, if anyone happens to want the Barret with original eyes, just message and I'll upload it somewhere. :3 |

I like both eyes. But the other style I like better becuse to me its like your Signature. I like how they seem kinna "hallow" but I can still get the emotion. =3 They make the chibi more fun to me. =3
Its kinna like the Fiends I'm been drawing lately. I don't know if you seen them or not. But they are jest the white eyes no peuple.
*looks at him* I don't know. I'm so use to seeing the eyes the other way that is kinna looks like someone elce's Chibi. But like I said I like both ways. Whatever you choose is good with me Chibi Master!

Regardless of what people complain about with the way that you usually do the eyes, I think it makes it more your artwork. Honestly, I like how the eyes look in this, but I think I like how you normally do it better.

I like the eyes of this one, but the eyes you normally look good too. I don't think they are "dead", they make the chibi all the more cute
